A Portfolio of John Baber’s Work

 

 

john baber (b. 1976), from St. Paul, Minnesota, has been exhibiting his work and curating shows in New York City since 2003. He is one of the original co-founders of JAVA studios in Brooklyn (former) and has shown his work there along with Local Project in Long Island City, ABC NO RIO, Lesley Heller Workspace, and most recently CENTRAL BOOKING in New York City. Curatorial efforts have included “The Urban Situation” at the Educational Alliance, “The Jersey Show,” through The Art Student’s League of New York, the Holiday Salons at Lesley Heller Workspace,” and “Shangri-la” at the Factory in Long Island City for the LIC Open Arts Festival. Institutions of education include The Atelier Lack in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the University of Minnesota St.Paul and Twin Cities, The Art Students League of New York, and La Mano Pottery Center in New York City.
